About the Monthly Fast
Can you imagine,
One day to change the world.
We can.

The heartbeat of Global Fast is one day each month when we all go hungry together -- fasting for global change and giving to change lives.

WHEN TO FAST? On the First Wednesday of each month, we all fast together. We’ll remind you to join hundreds of your BFFs to change lives together.

WHY FASTING? We fast to grow in courage and compassion – to get uncomfortable. By actually getting hungry, we identify more closely with those in extreme poverty. Just giving a dollar can be too easy - we give off our plates rather than out of our wallets. Fasting is not a gimmick to raise money – it’s a deeper connection to one another and the world.
